This is part of an on-going series. I want to document people who have influenced me and who have become part of my memories. I started these my final semester at Andrews University because I knew that while I may stay in contact with many of these people I was entering into a different stage of life and my relationship with them was inevitably going to change. I used liquid emulsion on ceramic tiles. It is a long, manual process, which was a very intimate thing for me. Photography is vastly different from the fine arts in many ways but the tactile process is the biggest difference that I see, especially as the field become more and more digital. The dark room is one way that I feel we can reconnect with the tactile-ness of photography.
